On & Off

Hello, January 19!

About a week and a half back Lance and I found out we'd be moving off campus to a house. The news of living in a little house of our own was thrilling. We’d been living in an on-campus apartment in a freshman girls' residence hall for the first year of our marriage. Our apartment was great and convenient and I loved it, but the move was a welcomed change. With our off-campus house we'd be able to nurture our little family away from shared walls, quiet hours, and living where you worked (for Lance). Plus, it was a house! A beautiful, cozy house!

This past weekend we finished packing and with the help of Lance’s parents and grandparents, moved almost all our belongings to our new house.  It feels so surreal.  We’re so blessed to be living in this house and for Lance’s promotion which gave us this amazing move.

Now we have a ton of purging and unpacking to do.  Thankfully we don’t have a ton of things, but we definitely have more than we need.  It’s time to reread Mari Kondo’s book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. (By the way, I just discovered she has another book, Spark Joy.  Can’t wait to read that one, too.)

Anyway I’m already in love with this house.  It’s perfect for us.  I’m so thankful for this little home of ours and excited to share it with all our friends and family.

Come visit!!!
